We recommend that you move your plants yourself as they can suffer from a lack of light and water and temperature extremes in the truck. Please note that some countries will not allow the import of plants or other agricultural items if you’re planning an overseas move. What is a binding estimate? This guarantees the exact cost of the move based on any services requested or deemed necessary at the time of the estimate. Additional services that are requested or required such as shuttle service, additional packing or adding items will be added to the cost of the estimate. How are fees determined for a local move? Most moving companies use an hourly rate for local moves. This price normally includes the driving time required to arrive at your home, to your destination and then back to the moving company. What should I do with essential items I need on my moving day? We recommend that you transport any essentials such as bed linens, towels, toilet paper, cosmetics, toiletries and medication in your own vehicle. The costs of driving time are normally higher because moving trucks can’t travel at the same speed as regular vehicles on highways.
