What is full packing? Your movers will pack everything in your household for you. Make sure to keep any legal papers, medicines and valuables with you during the move.
What should I do with my plants? We recommend that you move your plants yourself as they can suffer from a lack of light and water and temperature extremes in the truck. Please note that some countries will not allow the import of plants or other agricultural items if you’re planning an overseas move.
What is a binding estimate? This guarantees the exact cost of the move based on any services requested or deemed necessary at the time of the estimate. Additional services that are requested or required such as shuttle service, additional packing or adding items will be added to the cost of the estimate.
How are fees determined for a local move? Most moving companies use an hourly rate for local moves. This price normally includes the driving time required to arrive at your home, to your destination and then back to the moving company.
What should I do with essential items I need on my moving day? We recommend that you transport any essentials such as bed linens, towels, toilet paper, cosmetics, toiletries and medication in your own vehicle. If this isn’t possible, clearly mark these boxes and make sure your movers place them in a specific place at your destination.
Why is the cost for traveling higher for moving trucks? The costs of driving time are normally higher because moving trucks can’t travel at the same speed as regular vehicles on highways. They also can’t access any non-truck routes which results in longer mileage.
Do I have to tip movers? Tips are certainly not mandatory. However, you may want to consider tipping your movers and packers for the service they provide, depending on their quality and professionalism. If employees have gone above and beyond their job, they will certainly appreciate being rewarded for a job well done.
What are wardrobes? ? These are special boxes that are designed to hold your clothes. Some come equipped with a hanging rod and can fit clothing from up to 3 linear feet of closet space.
What is an order for service? This is a signed written agreement authorizing your moving company to transport your goods.
